We spent time speaking to a hangful of CEOs. In many cases, they always refer to employee relationship and how some employees have no idea what it takes to run a copy. One employee told the CEO that he changes his mind to often. Well, depending on the situation, CEO’s have to make decision based on the situation that he is facing. A famous non for profit CEO shared that he hired a Chief People Officer that pretended to support the CEO. The CPO was given a Chief position even through he skill level was Director level or less. The CEO gave his word that he would be compensated him fairly and receive a bonus as well. The CEO deleivered on his promise. CPO now through he was running the company and started to rally the staff against the CEO while telling the CEO he is a true friend and stands by him completely, that’s what they all say. The biggest mistake that this CEO made was trusting his Executives. We all know that people are unpredictable but what makes it worst is that Board stood behind this CPO. This CPO always called people racial slurs and stated that he would step up to someone bumper. As work place viloence increase, people that make such statement should be taken lightly. With the Board support, I guess the CEO is standing by himself. To often do we appoint people that are not qualified to serve on the Board. CEO’s are here to run companies but instead face walking the political tight rope. Getting back to this CPO, he is aggressive and his words are worthless. He tried to frame CEO and the CEO found out. In fear that he was going lose his job he ran like a baby to the Board. Listen, if you are going to plot something be man enough to take the pushishment when you get caught. I guess he know his skill level was poor and couldn’t find a job. He framed the CEO that treated him respectfully everyday even when this Chief acted like child getting involved in the he said she said drama. CEO to lose his job. After the CEO stood by his word and delievered every promised he made to his leadership team. He gave one Executive three months pay after the Executive said he wasn’t on Board. He gave another a severance package after he wasn’t able to perform. There are very few CEO’s that standby their words when everyone is trying to make up lies about them.
